So, today when I logged in, I realized that one of my deviations (uploaded over three years ago), suddenly had a whole ton of new +favs. This confused me until one of the comments finally linked to another deviant who had claimed the work as their own and gotten a fair amount of positive attention for it.

I thank both Greykitty and Jocarra for defending me...  The thief hasn't been banned yet, but it's pretty clear they're not welcome anymore. :) I really appreciate you guys, and everyone else who's looking out for me.

I usually don't have art theft issues, but even in the last week I've gotten several notices that people are plain stealing my stuff and claiming THEY drew it.

I'm pretty lenient with my art... you can use it as a desktop; you can print it out; you can take inspiration from style, concept, whathaveyou; you can put it in layouts (though a link back to my gallery is definitely appreciated!). But when you claim YOU drew it, we've got problems. There's really nothing glamorous about pretending you drew something you didn't... I know I'm just preaching to the choir here, but come on, don't pretend to be me. :(

This message is brought to you by hot chocolate and staying up past my bedtime. >_>

I agree with you SnowWolfMystic. I think people that claim other peoples work are bad even after they worked so hard, somebody comes and claims it. It ain't right, I'll notify you if someone claims your work, on your page.

This is irrelevant to the journal... I have a question.

Do you know of any soundtracks that you would recommend to hear? I think you made a list of pieces on BS, though they weren't soundtracks. I'm trying to get the rest of the LotRings soundtracks, seeing as how I only have the last one.

ANd... also, there's an artist on BS who is wanting to know if you visit the site anymore. I told them I figured youw wouldn't since you're busy, but they're looking for someone to ask about music, and they wanted to PM you... so they asked if I'd ask you. I realize you're really busy and you're not going to center yourself on doing this, I figured I'd do them the favor anyway.

Sorry to hear that. Scum like that are pathetic, and normally not even worth the bother. You know you made the picture, and your friends and fans know you made the picture, and in the end that's what really matters. But still, it must be pissy to have that happen.

It's been happening so much lately...:( But I'm glad people caught it! :D It's pretty much impossible to steal anything you've done - there are too many people who know your art. :) Plenty of which I'll bet have been watching you for quite some time! :)
