Hello! I hope you all are having a wonderful start to your summer vacations!

First I want to take the time to feature a few pieces of art. It just blows my mind to receive any form of art, and that someone would take the time to think of me (for long enough to get through a picture, even! :XD: ). That said, check out these amazing works for me by ~soulspoison ~

And a starry picture by ~Tsuki-93 ~

Thank you~! *cry*

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

So, I think I'm finally starting to feel the limitations of my Paint Shop Pro 7 + mouse setup for artwork... it takes forever to do anything, brushes are limited, I can't really use texture and definitely can't do lineart because PSP7 lines have all the smoothness of MSPaint. However, I found a lost copy of Photoshop 7 and tried to draw something in it... and it was the most aggravating half an hour ever. x_x The PS smudge tool is horrible and freezes for a half second with each stroke on my computer, which renders the entire program basically useless for me. :XD: I don't know how you guys do it. What are your favorite progams to use? What do you use? Do you like it? Feedback is appreciated!

I think I'm mostly caught up on llamas, and I promise I'll get back to the notes asap. :aww:

I never really used Sai D:
I tried with Gimp and Artweaver back then, but both were just replacements for Coral Painter X and Photoshop CS3 (the programs I am both working with).
Looking forward for new pictures from you!

I use GIMP2.6 and it works surprisingly well. It takes a small while to get used to though :)

surprisingly, one of my favorite approaches is to use openCanvas since it has a very low impact on system performance with paired use of my tablet, then whenever the hardest is over, i'll save and open in Paint.NET and go from there by mouse!

I use photoshop elements 5 and 6, as well as paint tool sai and gimp. But both dont really match what I want, but sai is a nice program for it has better lineart that ps and its easier to locate things on it than ps. Im actually going to get sketchbook pro 2010, which I heard is a great program which tools that practically look like the real thing.
